Ha Ha Ha. Your just hilarious . The Ducks will be back. They can only really get better with all the youth they have. But I really do have to hand it to the Oilers for their PK but I don't think it will be good enough to win them the cup and whoever comes out of the east is who I am cheering for.

Still the Oilers get no respect from other teams fans that they just bounced out of the playoffs. But anyways, we don't need anymore bandwagoners.
Oh and Taylor, that is what the Flames fans said last year when they lost the Finals against Tampa. And where did they end up?
The Oilers have the best PK in the playoffs, so how is that not good enough to win the Cup.

The Ducks do have a good young core. But this was the overachiever's conference and the Oilers PK (and Roloson) was probably the difference....though the Oilers did take some terribly stupid penalties....maybe they just figured that with the Ducks abyssmal PP% it was better to put them on the power play...

Well you see the Flames and Ducks are two different organizations. Do you even realize the Ducks have the 2nd overall pick to crosby probably coming in next year. They also have one or two guys that were drafted high in 2004 and with Calgary they just play off of their goalie. The Ducks arn't like that. If anything they are having a problem on who to play in net.

For anyone who predicted the Ducks would win (to keep this civil, no names will be mentioned...you know who YOU are!)
I predict Oiler's in 5...oh wait, that actually happened. Reality-check, the ducks never had a chance except in your own little dream world!
go copper and blue.
For the Knights GM...what happens when if a hurricane loses its punch...it'll be called a Carolina 'depression'

I am all for the Carolina depression, as I can't stand the Canes.

Lets hand the Cup over to the Canes now.

It is unfortunate that Roloson is injured. This was going to be an exciting series but it may not be much to watch now....not that Conklin is that bad, but he hasn't played in almost 2 months.

I think it is still possible for the Oil to pull it off. Or so I hope.

It is as much a possibility as it was for any team (read: Taylor's continued faith in the Ducks). I do think it severely limits the chances that Edmonton will win though, especially after losing that first game because a win might have given Conklin some breathing room. Carolina wasn't any sharper than the Oilers for most of the game and got a few bounces to go their way.
The thing that disappoints me the most isn't who wins at this point, because both teams have worked hard to get to the final, rather it's that a single fluke injury may decide the Cup winner. It's less interesting for me to watch if one team is going to run away with the series (which appeared to be fairly evenly matched). That being said, I am going to see how the next game goes and I hope that Edmonton and make a series out of it without the goaltender that got them there.

If Roloson being hurt is the excuse used by the Oilers fans I think it is pretty pathetic. That right their would prove that the Oilers just fed off of Roloson. If they can manage to win, it will prove they were for real the whole time. Hey the Hurricanes can win games with two different goalies and they have proven they are for real know matter who is inbetween the pipes.

Now you're just trolling. Don't be bitter just because Edmonton was a much better team than the Ducks...there's no shame in making it to the Conference finals.
Take away any team's No 1 goalie and they are not going to be as good (ask Calgary, New Jersey, especially Nashville)....it has absolutely nothing to do with how good the rest of the team is because the goalie position is unique and very difficult to replace. Some teams platoon their goalies because they have no clear No 1 netminder (and a lot of teams have done that this year) but Edmonton was not one of those teams. In these cases, the backup goalie is not playing enough games to be in proper form and it will hurt the team initially while the backup raises his game (example, the gaffe by Conklin behind the net the other night).
Roloson being hurt is not an excuse to lose, but it does make the climb that much more difficult. Is New Jersey less of a team because they depend on Brodeur? how about the Avalanche when Roy was playing? And Carolina's goaltenders have been letting in 4+ goals in a significant number of games, so I wouldn't be too confident in them...their team can just score bunches of goals to make up for it. We already know that the Oilers can score quite handily on Ward (and don't get me wrong, I think Ward is a good goalie who can make some spectacular saves), so the question is only how to play a better defensive game for Edmonton.
