I agree that their young talent will help them in the future (and even now) but I also predicted Anaheim over Colorado....I don't think that was a hard one to predict, as I believe that a lot of people overestimated the Avalanche. It is only going to get tougher for the Ducks from here though as Edmonton is a hard team to gauge and San Jose is definitely a strong team (last night's game notwithstanding) if they get their scoring online. In the East, 3 of the 4 teams left are explosive offensively.

It is the Goaltending that will win the Cup

Again, I would agree....but Ward and Miller are having great series in the East, and Roloson can steal games.

The Edmonton Oilers take out the Sharks in 6 games. Roloson the MVP of this series.
Bring on the Ducks.
Round 1: Oilers fed on deep fried Wings. Round 2: Oilers fed on Shark steak. Round 3: Oilers going to be eating BBQ'd Duck.
GO OILERS GO!!!!!!

It looks like both series could be interesting.
In the West, either team could win but I think Edmonton is a bit stronger in net, depth and experience though.
The East is very hard to call and I think will be determined by whichever goaltender can steal a game or two.

I predict Ducks in 6 .... I think the Oilers will win game 1 because the ducks will be a little rusty. Then the ducks will win game 2. Then Oilers game 3 . Then Ducks game 4. Then ducks game 5 and 6.
I think buffalo will win the series but You never know with the hurricanes.

Wildcats, you got the 1st part right in the Oilers/Ducks series. Edmonton will win game 1, Ducks game 2. Back in the friendly arena of Rexall Place, Edmonton will win both games and head back to Anaheim and lose their only to come back to Rexall to win it in 6 infront of their home crowd.
Oilers win 6

lol this playoffs is funny. Every single series the Ducks have been underestimated. Its ok though because every time people like you do that they seem to somehow just keep winning.

Hey Taylor, I realize that you're a Ducks fan and all, but can you honestly tell me that your not surprised at how well they're doing. I don't think there is one person in the hockey universe that actually thought the Ducks would make as far as they have. I would swear you're acting like a Leafs fan...............Oh wait that's me.......

Taylor, you can say that everyone underestimates the Ducks and it might be true, but the same thing has happened to Edmonton against both Detroit and San Jose. Edmonton are the underdogs again as the so-called sports "experts" are picking Anaheim in 5 or 6. I say let them and let Edmonton slide right under the radar and move onto the Cup Final.
If the likes of Peca, Pronger, Smith, Moreau and Torres can shut down players like Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Holmstrom, Shanny, Thornton, Marleau, Cheechoo, then I am sure they can shut down the likes of Selanne, McDonald and Niedermayer.

I have liked the Ducks since I was 5 years old. I am not actually to surpised Mike on how they are doing because I knew how well they were playing going into the playoffs. But I am surpised the Ducks are playing the Oilers in the conference finals. Also about the Oilers series my dad and I are watching the game here and we were saying how even it is if you look at it by indivitual matchups....such as. Selanne and Smyth, Pronger and Niedermayer, Mcdonald and Peca, Stoll and Lupul, and the goalies Bryzgalov and Roloson. It will be a good series.

Taylor, I have to add about our convo on MSN, that the 2nd goal was not goaltender interference. If you look at the replay, the puck was in the net before Bryzgalov was even touched.
For the Ducks to even have a chance at winning the series, they have to score more on the PP and I can't see that happening. The Ducks don't have a chance to win at Rexall either as they haven't won in the building since 1999.
Good luck though.
