I'm betting on the following results for the 2nd round. Sharks over Oilers in 7 games Avalanche over Ducks in 6 games Senators over Sabres in 5 games Devils over Hurricanes in 6 games Wow, I had the exact opposite teams go through in a pool I'm in. I feel really good about everybody I picked except the Oilers- after tonight's game I think Sharkies will eat them without ketchup.

I hardly think that sweeping Colorado guarantees the Cup for the Ducks....the Avalanche were just not as strong as other teams (I was more impressed with Anaheim beating Calgary). I think they are going to be playing San Jose in the next round and the Sharks are a very strong team.

The Ducks certainly seem to be playing well that's for sure. I love all of the young talent that they have on that club like Penner, Perry, Beauchemin, Getzlaf.
Anyhow, I'm off to catch a couple of hours sleep before I head in to work.

I can appreciate rooting for your team and all (I think I can safely assume that your favourite team is the Ducks at this point) but if you take all that emotion out of it and look at the teams likely to pass to the next round, I still don't think that they are a favourite. I'm not saying that I don't like Anaheim or anything, but I think there are still stronger teams left in the race.

Thats what everyone has said all playoffs and it seems as if the Ducks continue to get Underestimated. Look at all the predictions on this board. It was mainly for Calgary in the first round and Colorado in the second round. They have young talent that will only get better.
