I'm thinking that the Senators are going to win if Hasek can stay healthy and if his groin holds up. I'm wishing that the Leafs will win, but I think that's in some other life........

hahahaha lol. Leafs didn't make any big deals at the deadline so I think they hurt themselves. But everyone is kind of thinking Detroit,Dallas, Ottawa,Carolina and NY Rangers. But I think Buffalo and Nashville will be 2 sleepers that could meet in the cup. Buffalo never quits even after being down to phily today they came back and won 6-5.

I'm absolutely amazed with how well Carolina is playing. Don't think they will make to finals, but d**n what a difference a season off can make for a hockey club.

I going with Carolina. Their last couple of trades I think will give them the edge over Ottawa. As for the West I think we'll see Vancouver if they get there defence back, if not San Jose. Detroit is too slow. The only reason they look so good is because of Hawks, Blues, and Blue Jackets, thats like 25 to 30 points with just beating them. Final perdiction Vancouver and Carolina. Carolina to win.

definitely carolina. They were one underdog team before the season and noone saw them sittng on top of the east conference. They've all they need to win , chemistry,scorings,veterans/youth.

I know San Jose is only a few points out of the 8th place in the west but there's no way they'd make it to the finals in my view. Don't get me wrong Cheechoo and Thornton are great players but they better pick up the pace if they want to even get into the dance.

My sleeper pick and homer pick is the Edmonton Oilers. With the acquisitions of Spacek, Tarnstrom, Murray, Roloson and Samsonov, makes them a playoff contender.

My pick at the begining of the year was Nashville. So much speed and Sullivan is just to good. Splitting up him and Karyia give the Preds to great clutch scorers late in the game. Witt was a nice pick up and Vokoun is still one of the games underrated players.
That being said, the Devil fan in me can't count them out. Marty will be Marty, Elias is back and better then ever, Hale is finally getting playing time, Klee looks real good, but the Isles can take back Lukowich. Hes better then Albelin, but I would have prefered Weinrich.

I don't think the rangers will win the cup, but they have a scary crazy system in the flow for their farm and college signings. It's amazing, I thought they'd be one of the last to adapt to the new scouting system and they were one of the first. All the more reason to hate them.
Did I mention I'm a Canucks fan? All our scouting system composes of is a guy who couldn't coach in the AHL and a buncha former 4th line players.
We drafted Ryan Kesler instead of Corey Perry and Shawn belle, Umberger instead of Woywitka.... But we did sorta draft the Sedins!
