Hey guys, I'm in a Yahoo! style fantasy keeper league and I need some second opinions I can keep 4 players to the next year. Which 4 of the list below do you think will have the best upcoming season? Consider this upcoming season only.
We only keep have 2 slots availble for each forward postion so an excess would be a waste and limit my drafting options. With that in mind who would you keep?
Ilya Kovalchuk Brian Gionta Scott Gomez Brian Rolston Erik Cole Martin Havlat
Thanks, Ryan

I think there is only a single choice to be made here as there shouldn't be any doubt as to keeping Kovalchuk...

Kovalchuk and Gionta IMO.
Hard to say how Havlat will adapt in Chicago, he is going to be targeted by other teams shutdown lines, while in Ottawa the teams worried about Spezza/Heatley/Alfie before him.
He also doesn't have a rock solid defense behind him to boost his plus/minus stat ( assuming it's counted in your league ).
I also don't believe Gionta was a one hit wonder, and Kovalchuk needs no explanation.
Good luck.

You would probably be best served keeping Kovalchuk, Cole, Gomez and Havlat.
Havlat, although he is a bit of a question mark with Chicago has plenty of talent and will get every opportunity to put that talent to use with Chicago. There is no doubt he will be on the #1 line.......the question remains who will his linemates will be. My guess is he will initially play with Michal Handzus and Rene Bourque.

What's the deal with Ruutu?
