Just curious what people think...
is the Canadian Conference top 8 truly that much better than the American Conference's top 8 (points, +/- goal differential, etc) or is the Canadian conference just really top heavy with a lot of lottery teams while the American conference is more balanced?
Just looking at the #s, it looks like the Canadian Conference is going to win the Championship easily this season?

Canadian conference definitely has some good teams but i do think that the American conference is more balanced from top to bottom

I see 5 teams in the Canadian Conference that are quite possibly better then anything that the American Conference has to offer. That said, I think the American Conference overall is much more competitive, with 7 or 8 teams that are all fairly close in talent.

The American conference has the outlaws so by rule it's the worse conference lol

The top 3 teams in the American Conference would be in a dogfight for 8th place in our Canadian Conference ( Obviously excluding the purple aces statistically speaking)
That said it is definatly the most balanced of the two.

The Eagles are always a threat and seem to be one of those teams that's always near the top of the standings. The Purple Aces have finally come in to their own and may be the team to be in the Stanley Cup finals this year. I'm also worried about the Ravens and the type of club that Alex has put together. The Ravens are a team that is built for the playoffs and will be hard to defeat come playoff time.

See, now that's why I was asking this. Perhaps the canadian conference top 8 are bolstered/inflated because they are feeding off of several teams in the .300s or so.... or on the other hand there could be so many struggling teams because you have so many good teams. What came first, chicken or egg? That type of question I guess.

I love being overlooked. Beautiful.
I think the Devils will surprise some of you this playoffs.
But yes, the teams in Canada are clearly stronger on paper, and that's without considering the standings.
I like the Ravens but not the current state of their goaltending. Eagles are my pick to represent the American Conference in the finals. I hope to face them in the conference finals.

Get a life!! The Canadian Conf. has the four worst teams in the league! And, I can't seem to catch them (for worst that is)..... lol. Hell, we even won our last game! Seriously wish I was part of this conversation.
