Are we allowed to double shift in this league? My most recent game had a team double shift his 2nd line on his 4th line as well. Is this allowed or is someone just taking advantage of the rules. As a side note you can block teams from doing this in version 2 . nhaleague.com/NHA-530.html

For most teams it will backfire to doubleshift regularly, as the forwards seem to take CON hits for playing more than 20 minutes a game.

Under the Rules (Rosters) it does mention the double-shifting of one or two players. Not sure if that extends to a whole line though.

double-shifting is allowed in the league, with one exception.
Players may not be placed on both the 1st and 2nd lines.

With the way injuries occur in this league (realistically) it is a huge gamble. Most leagues you can get away with it with no consequence.

To be honest I hate over using my top liners on both special teams so I would never double shift. It's a huge gamble and not worth losing a Backstrom or Iginla for weeks just to add a few extra minutes of ice time.
