The Vezina Trophy is handed out to the goalie judged to be the most outstanding player at that position. The winner of this award is selected by the GM's of the National Hockey Association.
Roberto Luongo - 46-20-8 record, .912 SV%, 2.49 GAA, 8 shutouts Roberto Luongo was without question the most valuable player for the Ice Dragons this season. Luongo gave is best every night, leading the Ice Dragons to top spot in the American Conference.
Jonas Hiller - 47-21-10 record, .903 SV%, 2.68 GAA, 2180 shots against Most analysts did not expect the Hitmen to make much of an impact this past season. Unfortunately, nobody gave Jonas Hiller this information. On the final year of his entry-level contract, Hiller was lights out this season.
Tim Thomas - 46-28-3 record, .910 SV%, 2.75 GAA, 2321 shots against Tim Thomas is once again in contention for the Vezina Trophy. This ultra-competitive player has the intensity and skills that fans absolutely love. With 46 wins this past season, Thomas guided the Hawks to one of the best seasons in team history.
Ryan Miller - 51-23-3 record, .907 SV%, 2.47 GAA, 4 assists It would seem that Miller is up for just about every trophy available. Why not? He once again put together a stellar season with 51 wins giving him 102 wins in the last two seasons. No one can doubt his leadership in the dressing room and his skills on the ice. A true competitor if there ever was one.
