The Hart Trophy is awarded to the player who is viewed to be the most valuable to his team during the regular season. This winner of this award is selected by the GM's of the National Hockey Association.
Ryan Miller - 51-23-3 record, .907 SV%, 2.47 GAA, 2 shutouts
It's considered a good season when a goaltender can capture 40 wins. It's a spectacular season when one can get 50+ wins for a season. Miller was arguably the most consistent goalie this season, never going through any cold streaks and keeping his team in each and every game. This consistency helped the Vampyres to a another great year with 109 points and an eventual Canadian Conference finals appearance.
Mike Green - 84 games played, 34 goals, 69 assists, 103 points, +18
Never before has a defenseman registered more then 100 points in a season, until now. Green and his 103 points was the most be any defenseman in the league. Strangely enough, Green also led the Huskies in scoring by having 11 more points then fellow teammate Sidney Crosby.
Rick Nash - 82 games played, 52 goals, 65 assists, 117 points, +25
Nash has always been a consistent player. This year however, he was absolutely dominant. Nash led the league with 52 goals and had 46 points more then his next closest teammate. With this remarkable season, it's no wonder the Bandits made it to the American Conference finals.
Roberto Luongo - 46-20-8 record, .912 SV%, 2.49 GAA, 8 shutouts
Roberto Luongo carried the Ice Dragons on his back for a large part of the season, being largely responsible for the Ice Dragons league leading 110 points through the regular season. Luongo also led all goalies with 8 shutouts and was second behind Ryan Miller with a goals-against-average of 2.49.
