Hey guys, the time has finally arrived that I finally settle down and get married. You all probably figured that out by my little vacation in Vegas.
The wedding is Friday, July 22 (tomorrow) and I won't probably be online until Wednesday, July 27th, so hopefully I don't miss too much.
Good luck to all the play-off bound teams.

Thanks everyone for the congrats. It was a busy week and well worth it. I am back from a short visit to Niagra Falls where we stumbled upon Dan Paille and the Stanley Cup while boarding the Maid of the Mist on Wednesday, July 27. Needless to say, that I was very excited about that. The wife, said I was like a kid on Christmas morning, which I believe.
The ironic this was that Paille was there finishing up his honeymoon also.
So thanks again

So Jay...which was better? Getting married, or seeing the cup? ;D
Once again...congratulations on your marriage. I wish you all the best.

It's a Trap! ( best Admiral Akbar impression) Don't answer Jay....we don't want to see a post next week that you're getting a divorce.

HAHA, I will say the right thing and say getting married as I know it was the right thing to do as she does make me happy.
But....when she saw the look on my face once I heard that the Cup was onboard, and again once I got a look at it in person, I think she realized how important the Cup is to all male hockey fans. Yeah sure, seeing the cup in the Hockey Hall of Fame is one thing, but actually seeing it within inches is another.
So Chris, no divorce next week.

Interesting sidenote.
My maternal grandfather was a silversmith and he actually worked on the Cup at one point. I always thought that was pretty cool.
