Rangers are obviously winning the division next year...the only problem i have with their offseason is losing Jed Ortmeyer...he is the man

Nothing is obvious with the Rangers. They've blown it with stacked teams before and I look forward to it happening again. My Devils are in crisis mode, but what else is new. Been losing great talent for 4 seasons straight now. Still gonna challenge for the division title with Lou at the helm. I just hope he does the right thing and nabs Souray again.

The only sure thing in that division this season will be the suckiness of the Islanders....

for some reason i'm a little shocked that brad stuart only signed for $3.5 million. the flames misdirected their efforts with cory sarich i think. all i heard about when he was traded there was how great of a deal that was for the flames and how they were going to make a big push to keep him. maybe he's over-rated like i suspected.
the rangers got the best players so far though, in my opinion. they may have overpaid but i like the two guys they got. and i hate the rangers.
bertuzzi getting $8 million over two years absolutely blows my mind.
if niedermayer retires, doesn't his salary count against the cap? how does anaheim have room to make these signings?

Wahoo! Sutter might work out nice. this move boggles my mind a bit. from the devils perspective, i think this is a great move. from sutter's perspective, i was under the impression that he wanted a lot of control over personnel wherever he went and now he's going to work under the icon. there must have been a promise to give sutter input into decisions.
